General description of the college
Our college was founded in 1883 as the Uman Four-Grade Men's Gymnasium. In 1896 the grammar school was renamed the grammar school, on the basis of which in 1920 a vocational school was opened. In 1930, the Uman Technical School of Mechanization and Electrification of Agriculture was established on the basis of the Uman Vocational School, which in 1995 was reorganized into the Uman Agrotechnical College. For 132 years of its existence, the college has established itself as a stable, successful educational institution that is developing in accordance with modern trends in higher education. His authority was gained through the work of teachers, scientists, students and graduates.
Uman Vocational College of Technology and Business UNUS is a higher state educational institution of the first level of accreditation. It consists of 4 departments: general education, technical specialties, economics, computer systems.
The educational process is provided by 6 cycle commissions consisting of more than 90 experienced and highly qualified teachers, 4 candidates of sciences, 26 teachers-methodologists, 1 senior teacher, 40 specialists of the highest qualification category, 12 teachers of the first qualification category, 2 teachers of the second qualification category. categories, 1 specialist. Deserved and awarded state and departmental awards – 14.
Interregional and interuniversity scientific-practical conferences are held annually on the basis of the college.
