The Ukrainian state and the public pay great attention to the study of the history of the Holocaust and other genocides, the formation of an atmosphere of tolerance, interethnic and interreligious harmony and understanding in Ukrainian society.
The anniversary of the Babyn Yar tragedy is an occasion not only to commemorate the victims of the war and the Holocaust, but also to honor the heroes of Nazi resistance, to educate young people on examples of mutual respect between peoples, spiritual feat to save lives.
Today, September 29, on the occasion of the 80th anniversary of the Babyn Yar tragedy, the National Memory Lesson was held in schools and educational institutions of Ukraine. It was held by the Babyn Yar Holocaust Memorial Center in cooperation with the Ministry of Education and Science of Ukraine. The students of our school also joined the Lesson with sadness and pain, remembering that terrible tragedy.
As a result of this event, our young people are determined to resist any discrimination and contempt for human dignity, encroachment on human rights and, in particular, the right to life.
